India's first professional female skateboarder, Atita Verghese runs the Girl Skate India, an online community that encourages Indian women to start skateboarding. Atita and the Girl Skate India team organised India's first all-girls skateboarding tour, covering Bengaluru, Goa, Kovalam and Hampi. Atita and the HolyStoked Collective have helped build 10 skate parks in India and five abroad.
