Mauranipur town in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi has a temple of a female dog, built in its memory, where routine worship rituals are conducted daily. According to the priest of the temple, the bitch used to live on the borders of two villages, Revan and Kakwara, and died one day when a feast was being organised in both places.
