Navi Mumbai-based snake rescuer Somnath Mhatre died after being bitten by a cobra while trying to kiss it for a photograph. After rescuing the reptile, Mhatre was trying to kiss its head when the cobra bit him on the chest. Mhatre is reportedly the 31st person to die in such a manner in the last 12 months.
