The BJP-led Central government spent over ₹36 crore on advertisements for organising the "Ek Nayi Subah" show in May 2016 to mark the two years of the NDA government, an RTI response has revealed. Around ₹35 crore was spent on print media advertisements while the remaining amount was spent on electronic media advertisements for the six-hour event in Delhi.
