A zoo in the Netherlands has launched a four-year experiment called 'Tinder for orangutans' to increase the breeding chances of an 11-year-old female orangutan. The experiment, wherein the orangutan will be shown pictures of potential partners on a touchscreen before any introductions, is aimed at gaining a greater insight into female orangutans' mating choices.
