Non-EU travellers could pay €5 fee to enter Schengen zone

Travellers from non-EU countries, including potentially post-Brexit Britain, will have to pay €5 (₹360) to visit the EU’s passport-free Schengen zone, under plans outlined by the EU executive. They would need to submit information, which would be cross-checked against databases, including Interpol records and terrorist watch lists. Non-Schengen EU members would not have to pay the fee.
