On the occasion of Independence Day, director and producer Vandana Kohli has created a video wherein the country’s national anthem is being sung by the people of the North-East in “layered harmony of voices”. The video features Meghalaya's Serenity Choir singing the anthem in Khasi outfits. “We hope this version breaks through barriers of orientation, region, and age,” Kohli said.
