'One of human's closely related worms can regrow body parts'

A Washington-based study has revealed that the acorn worm, one of the closest-related invertebrate species to humans, is capable of regenerating every major body part lost to injury, including the head, nervous system and internal organs. The worm, which inhabits the sand around coral reefs, has a genetic makeup and body plan similar to a class of animals including humans.
