The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Rajasthan Government over the death of a person after being assaulted allegedly by 'gau rakshaks' (cow protectors). A group of 'gau rakshaks' had attacked some people dubbing them as cattle smugglers. However, the victims turned out to be dairy farmers who were carrying legally purchased cows.
