Actress Rekha, who turned 62 on Monday, won her first and only National Film Award in 1982 in the 'Best Actress' category for the film 'Umrao Jaan'. The actress portrayed the character 'Amiran', who becomes known as the courtesan 'Umrao Jaan' in the 1981 film. Rekha was also honoured with the 'Padma Shri' by the Government of India in 2010.
