Researchers make cement production carbon neutral
short by Gaurav Shroff / on Thursday, 23 March, 2017
US-based researchers have devised a way to make cement production carbon neutral by recycling the waste CO2 emissions for making carbon nanotubes. The nanotubes' production releases oxygen which is then pumped back into cement furnaces, making them burn using lesser fuel. Researchers calculated that for every ₹100 of cement produced, the factory would have ₹60,000 worth of nanotubes to sell.
