Researchers use light to kill mice cancer cells

Researchers in the US have developed a new method that uses light to kill cancer cells in mice. The technique involves injecting chemical compound 'nitrobenzaldehyde' into the tumor and aiming a beam of ultraviolet light at the chemical-filled tumor to cause the cancer-killing reaction. The researchers estimated that the method killed 95% of the targeted cancer cells in two hours.
