Scientists find the earliest known evidence of life on Earth

An international team of researchers has discovered the remains of 3.77 billion-year-old microorganisms in Canada, which they claim is the direct evidence of oldest known life forms on Earth. The find included tiny filaments and tubes formed by bacteria that lived on iron and came into existence shortly after the formation of Earth 4.54 billion years ago.
