Taiwan's constitutional court on Wednesday ruled in favour of recognising same-sex marriage on the island, the first such ruling in Asia, according to reports. Adding that current marriage laws violate the constitutional rights of same-sex couples, the court gave the country's parliament a period of two years for laws to be amended to allow same-sex marriage.
