A 38-year-old panda named Jia Jia, who is believed to have been the world's oldest panda in captivity, was euthanised on Sunday in Hong Kong's Ocean Park. Officials stated that her condition had been "deteriorating rapidly" in the past weeks. Jia Jia, whose age in human terms was more than 100 years, had been staying at the park since 1999.
