The India Meteorological Department (IMD) and INCOIS have issued an alert for high sea waves in Mumbai and nearby coastal areas over the next 36 hours. In view of this, the BMC has issued an advisory, urging people not to go too close to the coastline. As per the alert, the sea waves can rise between 0.5-1.5 metres in height.
