Senior Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Atul Kumar Anjaan passed away aged 69 at a private hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow. "Comrade Atul was battling disease for months but his spirit remained indomitable," CPI General Secretary D Raja said. Anjaan was reportedly battling advanced-stage prostate cancer and had been admitted to a hospital for the past one month.
