A new AI model is capable of predicting irregular heartbeats, or cardiac arrhythmia, up to 30 minutes before onset. Named WARN (Warning of Atrial fibRillatioN), the model, developed by researchers at the University of Luxembourg, boasts an 80% accuracy rate. Trained on data from 350 patients, the model can be integrated into smartphones to process smartwatch-recorded data.
