On 19 May 2023, RBI announced the withdrawal of Rs 2000 denomination bank notes from circulation. If you still have Rs 2000 notes, you can get them exchanged by visiting 19 RBI offices across the country. RBI said that 97.76 percent of the notes of denomination of Rs 2000 have returned to the banking system.
