A sub-inspector in Madhya Pradesh's Indore has been suspended and attached to police lines after a shopkeeper, Jay Joshi, alleged that he stripped and thrashed him for refusing to give a free packet of cigarettes. Joshi said the policeman, Shailendra Agrawal, took him and three others from his shop to the police station. Police said the incident will be investigated.
