RTI data reveals placement struggles at Indian Institutes of Technologies (IITs). In IIT Kanpur, 500 students were unplaced in 2023-24, comprising 31.3% of registered students. 33% of registered students were unplaced at IIT Kharagpur in 2022-23. Similar challenges were found at IIT BHU, IIT Ropar, IIT Palakkad, and IIT Jammu.
