Saraikela in Jharkhand was the hottest city in the country with the maximum temperature settling at 45.1 degrees Celsius on Sunday. It was followed by Bokaro 44.9°C, Cuddapah 44.8°C, Nandyal, Panagarh and Kurnool 44.5°C, Nizamabad 44.4°C, Kanpur and Adilabad 44.3°C, Prayagraj 44.1°C, and Agra and Jharsuguda 44°C. Varanasi recorded a high of 43.9°C and Karur Paramathi 43.8°C.
