An 11-year-old died after a 14-year-old boy, who was playing Goddess Kali, slit his throat during a Bhagwat Katha programme in Kanpur. During the enactment, the boy dressed as Goddess Kali was mock-slaying the child playing a demon, when the knife struck his throat. The teenager had been told to use blunt trident, but brought a knife instead, locals said.
