NASA's Ingenuity helicopter has completed its 40th flight on Mars. Ingenuity stayed aloft for nearly 92 seconds, travelling a distance of 178 meters at an altitude of 10 metres. Ingenuity landed with NASA's Perseverance Mars rover in February 2021 inside the 45-kilometre-wide Jezero crater. Perseverance has been dropping Martian sample tubes in a "depot" in Jezero.
